My 999s

It was delivered to me a couple of days ago after having a complete service and belts, MOT and new battery.

The Termi's sound fantastic and the pops and bangs on overrun which certainly turns heads...

Few of my mates don't like it, they are into jap bikes, the comments so far are :

Engine sounds like a bag of spanners...
Hope you're in the AA or RAC !!......
Tank is too small......you'll not go far on that tank...
Bike is too thin like a toy....

and a few others.....

I love it, i saw a few bikes today whilst out and NONE of them were Ducati's, all Jap, that's what i told them, i got this bike because i've always wanted a Ducati and they are soooo stylish no matter what they say....

Plans are :

open clutch cover, nice anodized parts..
power commander...
few more carbon bits...
anodized clutch / brake reservoir covers...

and whatever else take my fancy....:)

Here it is after my little ride out today - still smiling :p

ONLY DONE 3300 miles !!!

Looking forward to getting some more time on it and getting used to chucking them about again, take it steady for a little while though.

cheers

Gah, that is shiny. Good looking bike there Andy. Puts me to shame but I prefer riding it to cleaning it :)

Sweet as ... enjoy!

You might want to add sort out the popping on the over run to the planned list. There is a very good chance that air is getting in to the system. At best its proably just a couple of gaskets,..at worse it could be a cracked rear manifold.
Great looking bike tho,....apart from the carbon 'wings',...still the best looking Ducati superbike imho.

It doesn't pop and bang all the time, only at low speed, maybe i was a bit "keen" with the description....;)

It's not as frequent as i may have suggested, BUT it does sound good.

cheers

The bike already has a "Ducati Sporting Club" sticker on it, the previous owner was from Welshpool, maybe someone on here knows the previous owner ?

It had a load of stickers on it which i removed the 1st day as it's not my thing, here it was...

Anyone know any history of the bike ?

I managed to bag myself a bike lift, it was pretty tatty and needed a bit of work but i bought it anyway.... here it is when i got it....

So i repainted it Red, put a new bed on it and carpeted the top with some carpet i had left over from carpeting the garage floor...

It uses a trolley jack to lift and then is secured in place with brace bars, pretty simple really, i've ordered front and rear paddock stands so the bike can be worked on safely.

cheers

Andy

dont u ever get the urge to put a seat on it that covers the top and sides of the exhaust? It sort of looks like people wearing trousers that are too short somehow. Great looking otherwise.
