Shock Swap

Shiny Ohlins rear on it's way to me, so got to prep for the swap out.

In the past I've done this on a bike with fixed pegs and used axle stands to keep it in the air, since I've still got the folding pegs on the Duc, is this still an option?

Or do I hoist the rear into the rafters of the garage?

Anyone in South Hampshire got an Abba stand I can borrow for a bit?

I always use option 2. Just make sure you don't hoist the back end using the subframe, feed the straps through the frame just ahead of where the subframe bolts on. Whole job takes about 10 mins.

I've managed it with option 1, just have to get the stands under the hinges and drilled extra holes in the stands to get the correct height.

You can borrow my Abba Stand. I'm about 10 miles from you. Just let me know when.

Cheers Guys, did the job today with an Abba stand borrowed from Bradders. Tempted to buy one now

Also set the rear ride height at the same time (it was way out!!).

Just got the forks to do now when I get them back from being rebuilt.
