02 900 Ohlins set up. Guys, Help required........... After an enforced absence of 5 months I'm back on a Duke! The 70 odd mile ride back yesterday left me grinning like a cheshire cat - I now remember what I've been missing!!! Does anyone know what the standard factory settings are on the Ohlins shock? BTW the guy had set the back up real funny - i.e. rear compression damping = 0, and rebound = 0..........., front comp and rebound = full ! Made for an interesting test ride.......... Cheers Dave. |
If you have the hand book it tells you the standard settings in there. :P Shock absorber adjusters (900) The Öhlins shock absorber fitted to the 900 model features also length adjustment. It allows to adjust the seat height regardless the spring preload. • Compression damping adjuster (1): 14 clicks. • Rebound damping adjuster (2): 10 clicks. Undo lock nut (3) and nut (4) to change original setting. STANDARD spring length: 160 mm This is taken from the manual. There's a few downloadable manuals on the ducati site:- http://www.ducati.com/bikes/manuals.jhtml Hope that helps mate. I can always swop ya a perfectly set-up showa. :D Steve [Edited on 2-9-2004 by tont2002] |
Tont, All I've got in the handbook is basically where the adjusters are - not much help - it does show hoever the range of adjustment ie 10 clicks so I'll try middling them out and see how I go...... Ta. Dave |
