service light had bike serviced at 5700k to go to i.o.m now got 7000k and service lights come back on. can i get rid without taking it to dealer |
Nope. I had the first service done on mine with a shade over 600 miles on the clock. Riding home after, the service light came on. Since I didn't know what it was I stopped on the road side and rang the dealer to ask (a fit of paranoia expecting it to break down on me). Of course the milage had just tipped over 621 miles - 1,000 km - which is when the light is programmed to come on. Duh! I don't think it takes very long for them to access the ecu and reset it. I wouldn't expect the dealer to charge for doing it if you've paid them to service it already. |
There is a sequence of buttons to press to put the light out and the service light can only be reset after it has come on |
Service light?? What service light?:puzzled: My bike has a spanner icon that comes up on the LCD panel. I seem to remember it disapeared after I had disconected the battery to fit an Optimate lead. |

wrong , the service light is cancelled by using the external Ducati analyser , only the dealer cabn do it ............but you are right about it can only be reset after it come on , this is controlled by the odometer reading and the ECU :sing: |
Service light???? you must be talking about the maintenance counter :P |
