I\'m sure none of youse guys rely on disc-locks, or \"Sold-Secure\", but... this is well worth checking out: http://www.visordown.com/forums/show...0&page=1&pp=15 Further on in the thread, there's a smaller video file for those, like me, with Stone-Age PC's:( http://www.zanx.net/pick2.wmv I think everyone knows this kind of lock is defeatable, but the speed and simplicity...:o [Edited on 18-9-2004 by moto748] |

Scary stuff, i'm gonna try it on one of my locks, fortunately the others are Abus. I think the Kryptonite is going in the bin after seeing that cheers for posting that |

Thing is, dcr, once this sort of information comes into the public domain (and it's all over the web, apparently), they're not even a deterrent, just a joke. I mean, I used to think, oh well, at least they'd stop some kid riding off on your bike whilst you popped into the newsagents for a packet of fags. Clearly, they don't even do that. Those Sold Secure people (who have quite some sway over insurance companies) have plenty to answer for. |

Tried it My Kryptonites have stood up to this method, however, an old disc lock I have was easily opened. I noticed that the Kryptonite keys are of a slightly larger diameter than the disc lock. Whether this makes a difference I don't know. Still worrying though. |
