Discacciati Radial Master cylinder??? Hello peeps, After much thought concerning what Brake and Clutch Master cylinders I should go for. I have chosen the Discacciti ones. After a quick dry build up to mount them on the handle bars to check clearance etc I am wondering what size of Banjo bolt that they take? I have seen on the web site that I bought them from state a " M10x1" size. I have tried the banjo bolts from some old spare lines just while I have been checking clearance and found them not to fit. Do Jap banjo bolts have a different size thread to Italian ones? I hope its just a case of contacting Goodridge and letting them know that I want them for a Ducati 748 etc???? Look forward to reply.................:D DC :burn: |
I used the one from my std brembo cylinder |
Allo mate, Thats what I thought. I have yet to split the original system. Just waiting for new brake lines and calipers in the post. Cheers mate, thanks for the info. DC. :burn: |

Apparently Japs use a different thread pitch on the banjos, luckily Brembo and Discacciachi are both Italian eh ;) BTW the quality d1cks all over the brembo cast cylinder (not seen the CNC version), it comes fitted with a brake switch, is TUV approved, and even the lever is CNC machined rather than cast :o the only bad thing is replacements are priced accordingly :barfy: I'm in Ealing if you want to pop over and see it before you buy one :) [Edited on 6-10-2004 by DJ Tera] |

Hello DJ Tera, Its all cool mate. I have already got the Discacciti brake and clutch master cylinders. I read the web site before I bought them but did not take in the size of thread that this stuff takes. I suddenly got a cold sweat on when offering up some older spare banjo bolts but then soon realised that they take a different thread to jap stuff! Anyhow thanks for the help mate. Cheers, DC.:burn: |
