Seats wanted for \'98 916, and 9** interchangability

Am looking for both single and dual seats for my '98 916 (red, and tidy) - anyone have either to sell, and can anyone tell me if any 9** single-seat will fit (with appropriate spacing for the lock-plate)? Ebay seems to turn up 998 seats frequently but less so that earlier ones. Searching the forum it seems that 998 and 996 will interchange, but am not sure about 916.

I already have a scuffed Red Bull genuine seat; hmm, maybe I should get it painted to have a better chance of good colour match?

The single seat from any of the bikes, inc. 748's to, will fit with the right brackets etc.
I have a mint BP seat in with pads, but it's got 996 on the side. (2001)
