At Corse Slipper clutches
 

This guy on ebays sellin these AT Corse slipper clutches,he claims they're made by the same firm that makes Ducati performance gear !! just wondered if anyone had had any dealings with him,as they look good value,thats all !!

There are a couple of guys who have bought slippers from a guy who sells on ebay - who is the seller here?

Then, yep it's a bargain. tp-996 and I got the last of his 6 post Bucci ones (earlier Corse item), but these are 4 post STM items as per the Corse kit and labelled as such. They're similar to the DP ones, but in a fetching gold instead of red, come with Ti posts and the basket and drum is a Ti/Ergal alloy. (list is about £1200.00 + Plates etc apparently)

Mine came with a set of hardly worn Surflex plates, and once we got the right nut(Cheers Nelly) (Nick posts the part No I gave him in the auction now) all went in fine, and it works like a dream. The 4 post one's he's got now are suitable for pegging if you need to use a starter for your race bike.

No,thats him,this guy trades as,ATCorse, and has adverts in the mcn race section,selling slippers from £300 !his ebay name is,andreatalo,he's emailed me,and claims he'll do 2 for 750 !,all in,which is cheap,but i'm not buyin em if they're s**t,he offers sureflex plates @ additional cost.

His email states that,they're unbranded made in italy,by the same people who make, Ducati Corse ones !! they're made from Ergal.
But i don't know what to do,they sound right enough don't they ?

HPS are doin the the Sigma one for about £500 ! & these are similar.Thing is there will be a firm in italy making em,& all these people inc Corse will be callin em there own,so i don't know what to do !

Is there really anything that can go wrong with em ??as they're pretty much bomb proof arn't they ? when they're ramp style.

I was looking @ STM evo thingy,but it's qiute pricey,& it's only for fast road & track,not as if i'm racin or owt !

Simon, they are pretty bomb proof. Unless there made from cheese metal or machined incorrectly, they should be OK. It's the plates and the basket that wears out and need more frequent replacing than the non slipper type. I would check to see if the basked is unique or if you can use other makes when it comes to replacing it. I highly recommend using clutch plates with the thicker aluminium tabs, such as the ST4S plates (I believe). Don't use plates with steel tabs as it will knacker the basket in no time. Don't know which kind the surflex are but the ST4S plate sets are not that expensive.

Other than that, you'll need to grease the ramps and balls frequently with hi temp grease. I assume this has balls and ramps, not just ramps.

i'd still like know he's ok,tho,so i've mailed a couple of guys from his feedback,whose bought them,i'll see what they say,then make a descision !

I bought some Surflex ally clutch plates from an AndreaTalo last year. He didn't have them on auction but said he could get hold of them. True to his word he came up with the goods and considerably cheaper than other were quoting.

I run ST4S plates in my Corse slipper without any problems at all.
Not all the slippers are made in Italy. There are a lot of copies coming from eastern europe and these are the ones to stay away from.
Trouble is, there's no easy way to spot them until they start to wear quickly. They don't pay too much attention to copyright laws either ;)
STM are/were doing a promo on the Classic slipper inc. plates for £650 and also a couple of deals on the Evo's but you still need the either 12T or 48T plates with those. Don't know if there are any stocks of the promo gear left? I've sold all mine.

Anyone tried the Casoli slipper set up? Is it any good? Sure looks purdy...
