How many of you have fitted crash bungs

Hom many of you have fitted crash bungs to your 749/999, link to the R&G site below. Don't want to spoil the clean look or cut holes in the farings but could be wort it.

If you are going to fit some look at these.

visit www.cyclecat.com they fit through the engine mounting bolt between the V on the engine which should give strength.

they are available in the UK through spareshack.

Cheers Mike

if you fitt them with out cutting a hole in your fairing they look stupid and will make a mess of your fairing if it goes down and if you cutt a hole in the fairing it wrecks the look of the bike

I know its not the same thing, but you might want to consider fork protectors. Twice i have crashed this year and on bother occasions the fork bottoms have just touched down. I was lucky. Very, very minor marks to the fork bottoms. I decided not to take anymore risks and invest in a set of fork protectors fro JHP. Specially machined from solid hard nylon. And the cost. A whopping £15.00 + vat. Now I call that value for money.

Having had a slide we fitted Cycle Cat protectors to stop the possibility of further damage and they were easy to fit. They look very simmilar to the RG ones on their site. It hurt to cut the good side of the fairing that was'nt damaged but its done now.

The fairing took most of the slide but with the protectors in place I think it might make the end of the swing arm & forks more vulnerable so protectors there would be a good idea

Best bet is fit a track fairing & fit them through that & save the original for when you want to sell.

I fink I'd rather keep filling my scratches and repairing my fairing.....sigh:(
