Just to let you know... my husband came in from work tonight, clasping a bunch of flowers - for me!:o ..he said 'they are for you, no particular reason - just you' ahhhh:D so luverly - and he hasnt done that for a long long time, bless. I know its been a bit tough lately - its nice to know he still cares:) Just had to share that with you:) C |
Good for you CK. It's nice to know there are still some truly functional relationships out there. However, I would have to point out that there are certain thought processes that might be going on in the average cynical woman's mind. 1. .... No, no Alan - congratulations on being a decent husband (oxymoron - not necessarily!) |
 ta for that Ruth:lol: Its his twice a year offering - as he refuses to buy flowers for times like valentines day etc, as he says its just a rip off then:lol: He does come bearing gifts tho - but of the bike cleaning variety, bike mending variety - and very occasionally the odd trinket for the bike too:D Now, any ideas of how to get him into buying perfume, Jimmy Choo shoes?:puzzled: - not that I'm ever ungrateful for the bike bits: the paddock stand I got for xmas last year was just what I wanted:) C |
hey ck sure he aint after summat else;)  |
Al thats realy letting the side down mate, Whos wearing the pants in your house ? Same as my house eh -------------------------- THE WIFE ! So what have you done wrong then eh, you can tell me no one else will ever know Honest ! |
Ah that's lovely Charlotte.... get him to bring choccies too :) :P It is nice though, for a guy to do a lovely 'traditional and old fashioned' things sometimes, cos those are always the best..... I got embarressed once at work, I had flowers sent to me about 2 years ago, and it took me a long time to find out who it was.... - that's annoying tho, cos you can't thank anyone.... |
Maybe he read the romance thread ;) |
Kev - no, Al wears the troosers (well, most of the time;) ) Mel: you are right, he does do the 'old fashioned' things - he even walks between me & the traffic, and holds a car door open for me, if I'm in 'dress' mode. Lily: I wish, but he doesnt often read forums... maybe I should print it out & paste to the tank of the current bike being worked on???:puzzled: C'mon guys - have you brought a smile to your lady's face recently? C:bouncy::sing: |
Yeah but i wont say how;) |
You've inspired me to buy her some flowers! I haven't bought her any for a while so it will make a nice surprise! |
