In the last week, on the old snotter of a puter, I have had 2 interesting messages from it, just after booting up or going on the net.

One is from 'Avsynmgr' (pops up, just after logging in) & the other from 'Rulaunch' (appears after dialing up) - each say they have performed an illegal procedure, and they will be shut down.

I just close the box & carry on - without finding any other problems.

Are they something potentially murderous to said old puter - could they be something to do with the McAffee that AK installed a few months ago?

Both are linked to McAffee.

Try going to the McAffee site and reinstalling the latest dat updates. They have a support section, I am sure someone else has had the same probs. The answers out there.
