Lets start the debate...

Wavey Discs Vs' Brembo Full Floaters (cast iron, ala' SPS)

Any views from people that have used both?

Well...I haven't tried wavey's but in last weeks MCN they did some very unscientific tests and compared them to standard discs...No real improvement in braking performance (stopping distance etc), apart from the are less likely to fade under hard braking.

I have switched from standard brembo discs to full floaters (cast iron) that are fitted on the SP3, and the difference is noticeable.

These combined with the Brembo Radial m/c, braided hoses and P4 calipers = eye popping stopping:o

I've already got the full cast iron floating brembo's on my SPS as standard fitment - and was basically just thinking if it would be worth replacing them.

if the disc's you are looking at are cheaper than the full floating cast iron jobs, then ask yourself why.
I have the full floaters and wouldn't think of changing unless I wore them out

Worth changing from the full floating cast iron jobbies...I wouldn't have thought so.

I've used stock discs, floaters, cast AP discs and now wavy's...

Admittedly in varying circumstances, standard discs were the worst of the lot, floaters were/are good, seemed to help turn the bike more also, brake while turning was easier, the cast AP's were another level again, wavy's just as good as the AP's, you get some vibration through the level if feathering them, but pull them hard and they launch you over the bars, now coupled with the brembo radial m/cylinder, quite shocking.... just need stronger arms

Waveys are fantastic and look the nuts too!!!

Was thinking of the change - and considering the fact that it sounds like they'll out-perform the floaters, I'm well tempted.

Seen people flogging thier floaters on eBay for £200, so in theory it'd only cost me an extra £50 to get the wavey's (plus a new set of pads)

Like i said in the past though, if waveys are so good how come non of the WSB or BSB or Moto GP teams use them?

Actually when in the pits at Brands WSB most of the Kawasaki wheels were running waveys
