Service is finnished.........or is it?!?!?!?

I finally got my baby back yesterday from Ducati Leeds. They seemed to have done a great job on it. the bike looked stunning. Way cleaner then when i dropped it off anyway. I paid them loads of cash ( still less then it could have been ) and snatched the keys off them. I was very happy untill i got on the bike!

Now the L/H handle bar grip turns and works its way down the clip on. Does anyone know what is best to stick it back on?

I set off anyway and couldnt get over how fast and LOUD compared to the monster 620ie that i borrowed:lol:

It had a racing chip put in the match the cans but now at low (2-3k) revs the bike splutters and surges on a constant throttle! Am i being dumb or something because im sure it didnt do it before. It almost feels like its going to stall:o

Hair spray or even spray paint will do the job.

What bike is it?

2002 748s

...or. Heat the grip in a bowl of boiling water (so it expands) hastily slip the grip on the bar. As it cools it contracts.

Hairspray or such like as had been said

What do you all thing about the running probs? Should i take it back or is it ok?

I had a ultimap chip fitted at the beginning of the year.
And it was also what I would describe as lumpy.
Had it put on the dyno and then adjusted to my bike.
The problem is that not all bikes or engines are the same and although they do there best to get your new chip as close as possible there are always different characteristics from bike to bike

The surging could be either the mixture setting or the throttle sensor. I'd nip it back and get it checked out.
Also check that the connector to the TPS has been fitted back properly. If it's not on fully it could give "funny" signals to the ECU.
