CAR BOOT SALE in Birmingham Well i went to the giant car boot sale Call the NEC motorcycle show!! Well what do they think us bikers will buy next from them????????????? What a load of crap! lets make some shoddy **** and push it on the bikers !! if you ask me the only company that realy tried, and sold some trick stuff was CRESENT SUZUKI !!!! just my opinion ! shal we settle for this crap or tell them we demand and expect BETTER !! mav ps nice to see you skid's .... |
Yep I managed to get a day off work and take the 916 for a blast up to the NEC. Had a good look round, mainly at the race bikes and trick bits of kit, as usual this included the Harris Performance stuff which is where I ran into Mav and his mates and have a biy of a chinwag. Also ran into Frank (Iconic) and his mate, strangely enough on the Yamahahaha stand. Visited the Ducati stand a couple of times and didn't see anybody I knew. But did see all kind of DP bits fitted to the Red Multistrada, thought the Radial callipers a bit over kill. still good day out and only got rained on for the last ten or so miles on the way home, which was nice muddy country roads. |
I echo your thoughts Mav, I wouldn't pay to look round a large showroom, that's what it is in effect, so I can look at next years Gixxer thou, or whatever it maybe, I'll see them on the road next year anyhow. The race bikes don't tend to be the actual ones that were raced that year anyhow, plus as you have said all the cheap tat you can ever want???? |
There were quite a few people missing - Aprilia, Cagiva, MV, Benelli. Not as good as previous years in my opinion. Best stand was Triumph |
cheers was actually looking forward to going on sunday but im not now  only going for a cheap 1 peice suit for desmo due so i aint to worried anyone going to be there on sunday ??? |
I have to say that it was my first.......................and last visit to the NEC, sorry if I offentd anybody but appart from a few dukes, specially the new retro ones, I thought the show was rubbish. |
