Husqvarna 610 Super Moto Ok, dont shoot me but am looking for advice on a bike other than a Ducati :o I have been offered a Husky 610 supermoto in black n silver. I think it is the SM model or did the TE 610 E come in black too? Its the leccy start version, comes with on and off road wheels. Low mileage, T+T, mint condition or so he says and the engine is supposed to be sweet as a nut? Hoping to go see it tomorrow but need to know what to look for other than the usual bearings, fork seals, rear shock, C+S, tyres etc. Does anyone have on or know anyone with one who might be able to give me a bit of advice on what to look out for? All constructive advice gladly accepted. |
Some good stuff here http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/ Bugger after looking there are no Husky's !!! |
Another good place is the Supermoto forum on viserdown. Well worth a visit for that stuff, Geoff. |

Hmmm Not sure you could get your leg over KB? Worth a try and it is in your favourite colour though. Thumper is a strange site Trev, mostly yanks and not much on Husky's. Visordown section is good Felix, just on their now thanks. Husqvarna site is terrible, no information on older bikes and site not very good in general so will keep looking. No one with experience of one then? Off to see it this afty now. Plunge soon to be taken I think. |
Old Yella, I've not been looking at Husky's but have been looking at KTM supercomps which are my preference at the moment. They have maintenance schedules more akin to motox bikes from what I understand which is why I'm leaning more towards a supercomp but for a road going supermoto I think the KTM Duke has the best service intervals. Having said all that, I'm in no way an expert on these things. I've been spending a fair bit of time in the VD supermoto section and just talking to a few people. So, read what I've written and have a grain of salt handy ... |

I hope I am not on the right lines with my assumption or you were peeping at Cornerspeed, but it was cold:( |
Cheers V-man Frame check first then me thinks. Italian electrics again, how the f*** do i check them then, bucket of water and see if it starts? :puzzled: Going tomorrow now, was not home this afty so missed his call. Dont think he is a wheelie merchant as he seems a bit of a nugget from what I can gather but if his bikes cheap I aint bothered. Where did yours go? Usual headstock area or what? |
Checked the frame and it seems ok. Looks to have been more off road than on it though. Did not have chance for a ride, hangover and 1 degree temps. Will wait for a dry day to see what its like on the road. |
