QD fasteners-where from? Anybody know where to get the Quick disconnect fasteners for the fuel pump fuel lines from(other than Ducati)? |
Could try either Harris, Dennis Trollope, A&R racing, the later 2 can usually be found at various club meetings, they usually have the in-line type which are the same make, not sure if they can supply the ones that screw into the bottom of the pump itself. |
QD Fasteners Try Ducati or MV dealers first. Not sure on the price but my mate got one for his MV and he said they were almost identical to the Ducati ones? Any MV owners out there to confirm? D.Whatham? |
Jasp......done some searching and although they aren't the same as Ducati OE, you can get in-line assemblies from Busters, Demon Tweeks etc. |
Thanks Nelly, you beat me to it. John |
Thanks,both. |
just noticed that M&P do them as well ! |
There's usually a guy on e-Bay doing them. Not the same colour but exactly the same parts made by the same manufacturer as Ducati OEM. |
I know this topic may have been covered more recently but has anyone purchased some fuel line quick diconnects recently? I guess some inline ones would be fine providing they are suitable for the right pressure in the lines. I have heard that maybe the ones from M&P, Busters etc may not be up to the job! Other option is I have heard that Triumph ones are the same as Ducati ones. Anyone had experience of these? Cheers again. |

Here's a posting on the Triumph fittings: Triumph motorcycle part # T1241279 red anodized, T1241270 clear anodized. About $5 each. They come with clamps. Two problems with these. 1. These do not have a closed center. (check valve in the fitting) Should it come loose it will pee fuel all over your nice hot engine. 2. They WILL NOT press into your existing duc fuel lines. You will need four feet of 3/8 diameter fuel line to replace the OEM hose. Be sure to get the good hose clamps that clamp 360 degrees around the hose. These are for the fuel block end under the airbox. Normal hose clamps will cut into the hose. Old Fart |
