Please could someone use their Broadband 4 me???

I'm wanting to update my Nero CD 'burning' package so it works with Windows XP. Unfortunately. there's 4 updates for me to download and 2 of them are 28Mb each.

On my antiquated dial-up connection, I'll have my bike back on the road B4 the files download (and that aint looking good for 2005 either:mad: )

Please could someone use their broadband connection to get the files for me and stick them on a CD-Rom if I supply the URL????

I'm having major problems writing the VCD's for the Cadwell video and am now clutching at straws thinking it's something to do with an error message I get when opening Nero in XP (it tells me it's not compatible with this version of Windows i.e. XP).

If you can help, please email me at guy.cope@virgin.net

Many thanks for any help you can offer.

Guido

Guy

How quick do you need it? If I can get Freak off Half Life 2 then he could do it and i could post it in the morning for you. Unfortunately I am on the laptop and can't burn the disk, but I am sure we could help you out.

I had all sorts of problems after trying just this 'upgrade' Guy - I've ended up going back over and even though the incompatibility notice is annoying I have not found any operating problems yet?

Have you found otherwise?

Many thanks Lily, Jamie & Frank,

Loz has kindly offered for me and it looks like he may have been successful in getting the updates from the Nero server.

Will let you know if there's a probs.

Thanks again.

Guy

Frank....I only seem to get problems with the video footage in the 'writing/burning' stage. Converting from AVI to MPEG causes no probs at all, but when I burn the MPEG to CD using Nero's VCD option, the audio soundtrack is littered with 'dropouts'. and the video is not as smooth as when you play the MPEG via Windows Media Player. I can only put it down to the 'burning' process.

Could be the spec of your machine/writer and possibly what other processes are running at the time of writing
