E-commerce/affiliates experience

Bit of a long shot, but has anyone here got any direct experience of using an affiliates program? Looking for something UK based, reasonably priced and that will do the linking for you; also that takes account of the market area you're in ie not loads of links to timeshare and diet pill sites.

Any input gratefully received.

Cheers,

IC

Yes - they're mostly crap.

If you need visitors to your site then consider Google Ad Words or similar targeted advertising.

Making sure that your website also appears near the top of related searches also help as people tend to search for what they're looking for rather than using banner or affiliate links.

Dito what Antonye says.

Do a search for a piece of freeware called "Search Engine Commando" it submits and resubmits your pages fullfilling all the necessary criteria for the top search engines world wide.

Decide on a list of keywords relevant to your business and stick with them, i may be teaching you to suck eggs but remember if you are targeting people world wide the Spams for example use different words when searching. I.E. we would search for estate agents they would search for realtors.

Hope this helps.

Not same league but I have just added links on website and email for one&One webhost as I have my domain through them. To be honest don't expect any commission from it though.
