I was listening to back in black earlier today. |
I recently bought a dvd recorder and i have been bouncing down my old vhs tapes. Found some great old live Bonnnnnnn stuff, rock goes to college must be 79/80 man oh man. |
I saw the Scorpions at Donnington years ago. Superb, as were AC/DC, Gary Moore, Motorhead etc. Propper music! |
I said i love heavy metal are you deaf or summat. Went to see White Snake on Monday at Manchester Apollo. Brilliant seedy, small ish intimate venue with good accoustics. Far better than any of the big venues. MEN arena is OK but Gmex in Manchester must rate as one of the worst places i've ever been to for live bands, glad its not used any more. I remember seeing Judas Priest on the "British Steel" tour back in god knows when - they were supported by Iron Maiden I think. If I remember correctly, the tapes used to record the British Steel album they were supposed to be promoting were stolen before the album went into production and JP ended up playing virtually the whole of the Unleashed in the East live album - superb. I've seen Judas Priest quite a few times and the Scorpions a couple of times, that was when both of the Shenker brothers were in the band. I did see most of the bands in the early 80's - Motorhead, MSG, UFO, Ted Nugent, Sammy Hagar, Rainbow, Rush, Pat Benatar, Kiss, etc, etc, but my favourite was always AC/DC - fantastic. Blimey aren't I old!!! Tim:frog: |
