Clutch Holding Tool Following the earlier question does anyone know if the tool detailed on the link below is available in the UK http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/56-MP-14 |
That won't work on a Duke I don't think.... |
it will.............kind of. I've used one a couple of times, but it's risky and can result in some seriously skinned knuckles and damaged engine casings. I'd stay clear IMO. |
Get a pressure plate and a frition plate and bolt them together.Works just as well.I have one made if you want it. |
The tool is as used in the dreaded Haynes manual, whether that is good or not I will undoubtedly discover I have tracked one down via the UK distributor and will update you about the length of time I spent in casualty over the Christmas period. thanks for all of the advise and happy christmas Mike |
Don't trust that book of ideas - some good, some bad. This is definately not one of there good ideas. Either buy a proper one or make one out of old plates & metal bar. |
