Ambitions and goals, what are yours?

I was having a bit of a chat with Fil2 yesterday when the subject of ambition came up, he thought I mostly held ambition only to race/ go faster. This got me thinking a bit, and I was surprised to realise that in the last few years I have actually achieved many of my ambitions.
For example, buying a Ducati, and then better still a 748, moving away from my home town, joining the RAF, riding on track, and then going racing ( albeit badly!)
I gathered myself to think on what ambitions I still have, heres a selection,
To be part of a race team, and maybe win something.
To be able to play 'plug in baby' on my bass guitar.
To sail in a sailing yacht somewhere nice.
To learn to fly.
To join the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
The biggest one though, the ambition to rule all others is this,
To fly, or fly in, a Spitfire, that would be the pinnacle for me.

What about you lot? I would be interested to see what achievements you've made and what you feel you have left to do, achievable or not.

P.S. Yes Weeksy, we know you want to win the TT!
;) :D

tend to set myself one at a time jen.
those completed so far include:
- buy a house
- parachute jump
- own a fireblade
- own a 916 (outdone myself on that one with a 996 :D )
- beat weeksy in the TT

Next in line is to win a trophy in a bike race. Any one will do, be it shiney silver or a wooden stirring impliment!!

Must say tho Jen... Joining BBMF would be a treat - mere mortal isn't even allowed to climb aboard one of their aircraft! At this point I feel the urge to mention my guided tour inside the Lanc at conningsby :D

Goals for this year..

stay on my bike
do one race
finish house so no more DIY

Long term I am not certain i have anything specific really, lots of things i would like to do, but I don't think any of them could be called amibitions really.

I suppose I am finally doing something in January that I have always wanted to do and that's to board in Whistler.

Done a few of mine such as buy a house, buy a Ducati, earn a decent living etc. One to be completed next year is to marry my fiancee.

Ones for the future:

1) Ride a motorbike of some description round Oulton Park full circuit
2) Own a top-spec Ducati i.e. 749R/999R
3) Own a supermoto
4) Own proper quick car (Impreza, Evo etc)
5) Own a guitar built in the year I was born

I'm a possessions man in case you hadn't guessed!

Lily: At Whistler, make sure you find a slope called Couloir Extreme. It's on the Blackcombe side. You just stand at the top and then "drop in". Have fun!

Desmondo 23-Dec-2004 13:34

None. Plenty of things I'd like to do but Ambitious? Nah, just not me.
