Eprom in 748SPS ?

Anyone know how to identify the standard and termi-compatible eproms please ?

You can cross check the Ducati Performance eprom part numbers on the Ducati website, under the exhaust section in the accessories section.
If it's someone elses eprom, then they are usually marked up as to what bike they are suitable for.
If it's blank, then it's anyones guess......................

I've got a 1998 748sps like the one you've just bought

(top bike you'll love it - I've had mine for almost 5 years and am eventually going to sell it next year after changing my mind year after year as I like it so much!!)

Fit an FIM eprom (& go up 3 cogs on the back sprocket) - it makes all the difference

Much better than the DP ones - JHP is good but not as smooth - I've got one (JHP) you can try if you like??

Cheers

Chris

I've got round to looking at the eprom - its a 66 that's fitted, and a 60 that is in the box with the standard silencers.
Anyone know what the numbers mean please ?
(And which is supposed to be for what !!!)

bolds 08-Jan-2005 23:36

066 is for open silencers and 060 is standard eprom for original silencers

Thanks for that, at least I know the right chip is fitted, but after my first ride on the road, I also now know why people go on about having an aftermarket chip fitted _and_ set up !
There is a huge midrange hole - incredibly different to my 900SS's midrange.

There is a nice graph of the 060 v the FIM chip http://www.fuelinmoto.com.au/um141.gif
but they dont show anything about the 66

Hi Nelly

Would you be kind enough to post a link to the page where we can cross reference the eproms. I have looked but can't find anything, and now my eyes are going all boggley :o :o :o :puzzled:

Cheers

Nate, it's HERE.

The web site has changed and it's not as good as it was, but the part numbers are still on there somewhere!!

The old site listed all the chips and ID's in one, but now it's split down to individual chips.

Ah, I see. That's where I was before. I understand now, thanks.

Isnt that the most useless page you ever saw !
The guys who design some of this stuff must never even try to use them.
