Learning tracks

Does anybody know of any videogames (bikes or cars) that include the tracks for the Desmodue series?

I'm not going to be able to get any tracktime beyond Desmodue and wanted to at least learn the layouts ahead of time.

Not a game, but the MCN track guides are pretty detailed, or you could try anf find some on board footage by normal track dayers rather than BSB riders

i've been playing MotoGP to try'n get the hang on Donny, but that's all I've got!

might have a look at TOCA as weeksy suggests.

These games can be really good for learning tracks... I learned silverstone with a race simulator and it seriously reduced the learning curve when I got there.

They're all the same when you're racing.......gas it a millisecond before the red lights go out, brake a millisecond after everyone else, get round the corner, get on the gas a millisecond before the others...repeat until chequered flag.....job done:lol:

The Superbike Mag video that Steve Plater did was good if you want a very top line explanation of a very quick lap. I've found a few laps done by people on the web before and MCN guide is ok of you're into studying things like that. Play Station for Donny. Unfortunately there is no sub for being on the track - get yourself on some early track days, there's plenty of time to do one of each circuit before the start of the Desmo season and time inbetween to visit the next circuit. Some are easier to learn than others - I remember the first time I did Oulton, hilarious coming over the hill and rolling off the throttle not knowing what's on the other side.

There are a couple of explanations of laps on this site if you do a search, I know I did one and I think Weeksy did one as well.

thanks fellas - I know games are no substitute for the real thing (anyone see the guy on Top Gear who trained for the Nurburgring on his xbox?!) but it would be nice to at least know where the corners go.....plus, I get to play games this winter!!

I use Superbike 2001 on the PC. It only has Donny of the tracks you want but it's a very good representation having raced there for real.

TOCA Race Driver has Donny and Brands Indy on, but I haven't found any with Cadwell or Castle Coombe in. I haven't got TOCA (or a PS2/xbox) either:( Arse.

You're shelling out £3k+ for Desmodue - surely you can spare the £150 for a ps2 and a game? That's my excuse anyway!

But youre well on the way to a couple of trackdays there, my friend
