Handlebar Grips Hi All. A few weeks (months?) ago someone asked for advice about handlebar grips sliding down the bars and what could be done to slide them back up + refix them. Can anyone remember either where that thread was, or what the best advice was to sort? Cheers Andy |
Remove the grip, spray the inside with hairspray, and slid it back on. |

The hairdressers in the club can no doubt help you out here. |
Was this the thread you were thinking of? |
Cheers peeps, Will beg the use of one of the daughters sprays. One more good bump and there would have been a real chance of chipping the tank with my front teeth! Andy |
What are peoples choics and suppliers for grips? TIA, Rob |
![]() I had problems with my fingers going numb from handlebar vibration before I used inexpensive foam grips from a bicycle shop like the ones that Loris Capirossi uses on his Desmosedici :burn: |
I've offen thought all the techno stuff that goes into developing the bikes, the standard grips are pretty poor. As in racket sports grip size is important, according to the players hand size. The F04 race bikes have different grips( not rentall though ) ? |
I used to use foam grips but found them too thick and my hands used to ache after too long. However, a profiled grip like Shazaams looks to be a much better idea. At present I'm still using the old Gallina 'Superbike' type grip. And a 15 year old can of 'Supersilk' hair lacqure :smug: |
