Aftermarket Screens
 

Hi - does anyone know if I can get an aftermarket screen for my 1000SS? The one I have is just a little low and over a ton (not on public roads of course) it gets a bit breezy so considering getting a slightly higher one.

Not only will it help with the wind but also with ******** motorists who spray their windscreens when Im behind showering me in winter screen wash which stings real bad if your visors open and it gets in your eyes! Which is precisely what someone did to me on Sunday after I had spent all morning cleaning my bike, leathers and helmet - 2 minutes down the road and I got it. :mad: What is it with people? Surely they know you're there and spraying their windscreen is not nice for a bike behind? Clearly dont care so I made my feelings known as I passed the idiot once my eyes had recovered - do I sound like I am being an old whinging git?

I bought a Powerbronze double bubble screen for my 900SSie at the bike show and it is a good fit + makes a big difference - 80 feels like 60 did etc.

I suspect the pillion would now cop the screen wash hit which is a slight improvement I guess!

I would have thought that the 1000ss is pretty much the same as mine fairing / screen wise?

Yes its the same.

Unfortunately got a powerbronze thats going for nothing, but its the standard size and red. :lol:

There is a German site on ebay selling Puig screens (just search for Ducati screen) which appear to be about three inches taller than standard.
