A Biking \'To do\' before snuffing it list !!!

The Nurburgring post made me think of this one.

What are peoples opinions on 'GOTTA DO' biking events???

I'll have a go.

1) Nurburgring
2) I.O.M. TT / Manx
3) Dutch TT / Assen
4) Foreign MotoGP - Spain?
5) Cover more of GB - Scotland / Wales / Ireland
6) Proper track riding / skills school - CSS etc
7) World Ducati Week, Italy / USA? (couldnt miss a Duke event)
8) Have a go at trail riding :D
9) Have a go at Mini-moto :o
10) Ride along Route66 on a bike :) Couldn't resist.

Interested to know what other peeps might come up with?

Cheers - Frank

I'm still trying to work out what i've got to do tomorrow!

But biking things I want to do are short'n'sweet...

1) race. Should sort that one out soon.
2) Monza on a Ducati. I REFUSE to die before doing this!

I need a bigger list!

lol - duuno why but I just thought to myself about what bikes I've ridden:

Singles - yup - loads....2 and 4 stroke
Twins - erm :D
Triples - yep - my fondly remembered Lavvy and an XS750 believe it or not
Fours - sadly yes - and I have one in the garage too.
Sixes - yep - CBX6 - what a hoot....

Funnily enough - a FIVE is missing - wonder how I can sort that :lol::lol:

You guys in Old Europe have all these great tracks to go to. I want to ride them as well and see the GP's etc. Le Mans is also a must do, though the race years ago was more exciting with all the different classes and speed mixed up. Anyway, I noticed Route 66 and that intrigues me. I traveled that as a kid in an un-airconditioned Chevy in the middle of summer! Great memories though....all that stuff in the movies is basically true., but R66 is now a shell of its old self. Still, a good thing to dream about and I hope you get the chance! My biggest similar ride was on vestiges of 66 and other newer highways from the middle of Texas to California stretched out on an A7 Kasawaki (sic) 350, doing about 100 mph most of the way. I have also been on the track at Indy, kind of an historical experience and Laguna Seca and the mighty corkscrew!
But all the stuff on the first list is on mine as well. I will just have to satisfy myself with Motegi, Suzuka and Sendai (though I have ridden on the remains of the Asamayama course, basically a pumice TT course that was used as the first Japan GP....this is where Yamaha started to develop their first hot 250 racers).
Lucky Brits!

Before you snuff it.

One thing I wanted to do was the Manx 2 day Trial, so together with Baylissboy I did - at times I thought I WAS going to snuff it.

Pretty poor bike list from me:

Ride to Ducati week (looks a possibility in 2006:D )
Pull better wheelies:o than the throttle ones at traffic lights
Get my knee down - on any bike - without falling off (yes, I am a numpty!)
Own a 999, cos I just want to ride one for longer than 20 mins
Ride across America (prob in another 2 years time?)
Pluck up the courage to 'ride the ring' and not spectate.
Ride round the TT track

A fair few other 'non bike' things to do too tho
:)

See a GP at Laguna Seca and ride the track. Not just play it on the playstation.
