Pattern Parts

Where is the best Place for Non OE Ducati Parts. Just need some rear wheel bearings but refuse to pay £198 for OE ones

Go to the yellow pages, and look up bearing stockists.
Usually very well priced and of equal quality if not better.

£198! Wow!!
Definately a local bearing co.
I got front/rear wheel bearings and swingarm bearings for my hon...hon...(you know the rest)... from a local guy for circa £25.
And yes they were damn good quality!

Hang on Mr C, you're close to me aren't you? It was somewhere in Burfields Industrial Estate but I can't remember off hand. I'm down that way tomorrow, I'll try find out the name of the place - and if it's still there!

NBs996 03-Feb-2005 20:51

Or.... M&P sell them for a fiver a side.

marksduc748 03-Feb-2005 21:04

madmav 03-Feb-2005 22:01

BSL BEARING SERVICES LTD !!! next day delivery to your door !!!

Last time I bought some genuine Ducati wheel bearings (about 18 months ago), they were £7.02 + VAT each.

Hardly worth bothering with pattern ones, I'd say.

[edit] That was front wheel bearings. I don't know for sure whether the rear ones are the same, but can't believe they'd be much different. You could check on the parts lists on the Ducati website, anyway.

I have heard of Swan Bearings and im pretty sure where they are. Where abouts are you NBs996 ? Im in Chorley.

Also for everyones info on the rear wheel there is a large Needle Roller bearing and 2 ball bearing type ones I was quoted £61+Vat for the Needle and £34+Vat each for the other 2.
When it was MOT'd last week he just said there was a touch of Play in the rear wheel.
Think i'll whip them out on a wet weekend and get Swan to match them for me.

Sorry chap, I thought you were on the south coast!

(The bearings for £7ish are for the front.)

Mr_S 04-Feb-2005 00:53

No, it's Mr_S on the south coast. Didn't realise you were so near.

Burfields Industrial Estate, charming part of Copnor that is.
