How much is a 749/999 mono tail?? I don't mean the whole tail section (sub frame) just the "plastic". How much is an original Duc tail section? |
Thats an easy one to answer. I have the invoice for my order, and I have ordered the "S" mono tail unit to get the white number boards. The price is £255.32 + VAT...or at least that is what Pro Twins are charging me. If it helps, the part number is 48310471AA... |
Sounds about right for the rear part... The front part of the seat unit is around £350 :D :puzzled::puzzled: Not to sure why you just need the rear part. The rear mono cowl will not fit on a bip front section. |
I am waiting for a mono seat unit off a 749S to arrive, to go with the rest of the body kit I have. I was going to try and sell the lot complete but may split up if nobody is interested in buying the complete Kit. |
Kev....why not try fitting it on the 996 !!! Get with the times :lol::lol: |

:o So the tail has two parts? And if i want to turn a biposto into a monoposto i need those two parts and not only the tails unit Gareth is talking about? |
Dave I have a full 749 dark bodykit for future project, only picked up the 749S kit to rob it of the complete headlight unit that came with it. On the Dark kit I can easily remove the graphics and fit my own yellow ones and probably have them saying 999 Hybrid, to go along with my 998 Hybrid. |
To convert to mono you`ll need more than just the plastic bit,the Dodgy Greek done his with genuine Duc bits off ebay and the cost was nearly half a grand:o You`ll need the two parts of the plastic seat, subframe, bum pad and a few odd fastners. Ducati do a MotoGP style converter to single seat which requires no subframe change, not sure of the cost thou. |
Why bother with that....., when you can buy a ducati corse FO4 - actual un-painted version from Sandbar Ltd - around £350 ish ?? Looks the nuts , when you finally suss out how to fit it.:eureka::eureka: |
