Tank removal Anyone Know when i remove my tank will the fuel come out the two pipes outlets.... Or will it need to be pumped to come out ?? Any other drama's that i need to no about before i remove it. |
On the 748 it don't. The pipes going to the pump have a connector which closes when you remove the pipes. Not sure how you drain the tank as I've not had to do that. Tank off to 3x then? |
It should have cut off valve on the tank. Push the connection on the pipes and job done. Watch you don't catch the little black rubber rings when you put the tank back on. Hope this helps |
Mate there is a small bolt and a v shaped clamp between the two fuel pipes that holds them in place. When you have undone the seat and removed it from the tank, raise the rear of the tank up using a piece of wood, (i find a 4" skirting is ideal) then undo the bolt. You can then pull out the two pipe ends and the fuel will stay in the tank! You might get a little drop coming out the pipes but no worries. |
Dave, It's all self sealing, and if you do damage the O rings, I have plenty here. Rgds, Rob |
