silver tape
 

can someone please tell me the reasons for the silver tape on the right side down tube of the subframe on a 748?

have it on mine and noticed it other bikes too.

I've a 748, and mine had no tape on it.

Is your bike second hand Frank or well used???????

All I can think that what you're looking at is the remains of what was the factory logo stating the frame number etc. These are on some bikes and are known for the black text to eventually rub off with cleaning etc and leave the base sticker behind. Could that be what you're looking at????.

second hand and not as well used as it should be!
