Whats the average mileage from slipper clutches.

Can you advise the sort of average miles for slipper clutch plates. Just trying to get a feel for the wear factor.
My standard clutch with origonal plates are up to 10k, thats with everyday use, odd track days and touring.
So as an average are we looking at 5k or better.
The clutch is running ali plates also.
Interested in your feed back.
Cheers
Kev

Not a very helpful answer i suppose but i guess how long it lasts will depend on how much you make it slip. My ally standard clutch is still going stong after 13,000 miles i think it is. Makes a few noises when pulling away but its not slipping yet. Done four trackdays on it a well. I would guess than unless your a very hard road rider then a slipper would last as long as any other on the road. On the track then i dont know!

I only got 7000 out of standard basket and plates. As for race items I would guess not more than standard but you never know. Lots of other similar posts to check on clutch longevity - but not slipper clutches I don't think.

Got about 4000 miles out of my original clutch pack for a 12 ear STM slipper clutch, but it was the novelty factor. Approx 6000 so far on next set of plates (including 10 or so track days), and still going strong.

Bloody hope I do better than that Mr Chilio. It will cost me more in clutch plates than petrol !
