desmodue dreams........... after reading a post about a couple of people on here; weeksy and nick i think; having dreams about racing, i had one myself last night. sad or what. it was the first race of the season and for some reason i missed the first race and was sitting it out watching it. first corner passed without event but then at the far end of the circuit (hairpin/barn i guess) there was carnage and i think the race was stopped. someone totalled their bike, all that came back was 2 wheels and a smashed up frame! everyone was ok though. :) now i think i'm right in saying that dreams nerer actually turn out to be true. so i guess that means i will make the first race, the hairpin/barn will pass without event, but there is still scope for a bit of a stinker at the first bend. sounds about right.:o |
Dickie, you were watching yourself and these are your subconcious fears in your dream uncledunnie (completely unqualified dream expert) |
cheers for that! :( so its half a lap and a bag of bits for me! still at least i was ok i guess. everyone had better steer clear of me then on the first lap, cos i take a few down with me! on the upside, the fact that i take a few out means i must have been running somewhere other than at the back:D how funny would it be if this turns out to be true! sorry..........coat on...........leaving now. |
i had a dream someone nicked me bike from woolies car park, when I was meeting up with TP and the DD racers...does this count??? *been down the garage and checked all OK, PHEW!* |
the event you described involving yourself probably won't happen - because conciously you won't let it, you just have a growing fear that you might crash out on lap one. I've had a dream of barreling through the starting grid from the back ending up at turn one first or there-abouts, the only difference is, once I get my 80 tooth rear sprocket made I probably will :bouncy::bouncy: |
You think dreams come true? Well I hope for your sake that you get round Cadwell with more than a bent frame and two wheels - I suppose you could ride it a bit like a hobby horse. But I hope that dreams don't really come true, otherwise, if the other night was anything to go by...The Pope was coming to see me and there was a big traffic problem at the end of my tiny little road as a big black Mercedes stretch limo with a whole bunch of Cardinals in big pointy hats inside it tried to haul it's wheelbase round a tight turn...Weird...I'm not even a Catholic. On the other hand, if the other dream involving all four of those 'Desperate Housewives' was for real.... |

I don't dream about going racing in the future, more like nightmares about the races I have crashed in. This may apply to a few more next year :frog: |
