Oil & filters...bulk buy ??? Mobil1 \'Trisynthetic\'? + K&N
 

Two things have happened lately to get me thinking about this topic.

1) Oil - as per Shazaam's recommendations...

I've just bought myself some car specific 15W-50 Mobil1 at the Rufforth autojumble last saturday and 'managed' to talk the guy down to £32 for a 4L bottle, he reckons the rrp is £34.95 so he did me a favour :lol:

Sadly at the same time I also asked a question from a guy on Ebay who apparently has 'loads' of 1L bottles of the 15W-50 'Trisynthetic' oil for sale (which I know little about at the moment) - anyway he reckons even with sending 4 x 1L bottles and P&P he can do them for £24 :o

Oil filters - looking through a catalogue recently I noticed that almost all the 1992 and newer bikes all seem to use the same K&N Oil filter, model KN-153 - cheapest I have found these for so far is £8.99 from M&P accessories:

Yes Desmodue boys and girls please note the end installation nut is pre-drilled for lockwiring - making things much easier.

So...is there any milage in trying to bulk buy any of these items for the DSC or do the majority of people here use dealer servicing, so that it would only be of limited use???
