Scuffed leathers on a trackday?... I'm thinking about getting back on track for the first time in a while. I lowsided at Donington nearly 4 years ago (will be 4 years on April 19th), and for various reasons (cash, baby, time) haven't had the chance to get back on the track since. So, am now in a better position to get on the track again - but am just wondering about the state of my leathers. It was a decent Dianese 1 piece "K" suit that I lowsided in, and it hasn't burst any seams but is rather scuffed in places. How do track-day organisers take to scuffed leathers? Would they deem them as unsafe? Anyone got any experience of this? |

I very much doubt you'll have any porblems. My old Dainese set were somewhat scuffed and never heard a peep from anyone. |

As long as there are no holes and the seems are intact you'll be fine. |

you should see the state of mine!!! i look like road kill :frog: but most trackdays dont even check your leathers and as long as they are in one piece and have no holes you should be fine anyway. I would check more whether you feel confident wearing them in case you come off. |

As already said, you shouldn't have any problems. Trackday organisers don't normally check your bike or kit as doing would imply additional liability on them. I believe the conditions you sign state that the bike and kit has to be "roadworthy". |
