Which qual session is this?

There's a big gap between him and Mladin - has he got more time to sort it out?

Steve M 11-Mar-2005 13:51

Qual 2 - so these are the grid positions (I think)

TP 11-Mar-2005 14:01

Yep - those are the grid positions from what I can tell. Neil just over 1.6 seconds back from Mladin and still in 3rd. That's a big gap I reckon. Suzuki appear to have that bike sorted with Ben Spies in 2nd. Even Ben is .7 seconds back in 2nd.

Barring any problems you'd have to tip Mladin but it's a long race and anything can happen.

Good luck to both men.

if he can bring it home in 3rd it will be a great result - the points system apparently rewards consistent scoring - daytona is notorious for engines going "pop" and a DNF - bad for the long term points.

Read the other post! Daytona Superbikes race is only 70k long. The 200 is being run by Supersport bikes due to tyre concerns.

I have to say that Neil does look bloody good aboard the 999 again!:)
