akropovic exhaust

has anybody got a full system fitted to a 999?

i`ve got a 2004 bp and want to fit a better exhaust than standard noise/power.

have you remapped chip?power commander?
does it sound as good as termi`s?

have chance of good priced one through work or should i pay extra for termi`s?

:puzzled:

looked into what you get for £1800 bad news on a bp
bhp increase?......................................... ....................4.7
can you believe it from a full system.
you save over 8kg`s and db is only 98 but for that price it`s a wonder that they ever sell any.
on a 999s you get 10 bhp and still 8kgs saving........

Ian, the main problem with strapping a system onto a testastretta based bike is that the ECU etc is sold as a complete unit, not just a chip change as per 748-996 (excluding the R - Adam and Rattler!)

And they're about £700, you can get them cheaper or buy a PCIII and get some dyno time.

Leo Vinci seem to be the one to go for.... but won't be any cheaper

It is also important to get a system suited to the swinging arm on the bike. Full systems designed for the earlier cast swinging arm will not fit on later bikes with the fabricated swinging arm

use a power commander the ecu was a waste of money in my case

bhp increase quote is for system only .i would put on a power commanderif i had this system and would expect more bhp when fitted and had it fettled on a dyno.

but still would like a termi system as it comes complete with ecu & filters

Termi's have the rep, and I guess it's a Ducati so you'd expect them, but to be perfectly honest there are far better made systems out there build quality wise.

You pays your money you takes your chance!
