Desmo Due 2013
 

This weekend Trudi and Kev Palmer and myself had a meeting with Dave Mabbutt and we are happy to announce the series is back with Hottrax Motorsport for 2013!

The format for 2013 will be the same with 3 races over the weekend and trophies to the top 3 etc

Entry fees are likely to increase slightly as no doubt track hire in 2013 will be up on what it cost this year

Again we should be looking at 8 meetings over the season at tracks we have used in the last 2 years, although next season we are hoping the time between each round will be more regular such as 4 to 5 weeks rather than this years 3 to 6 weeks.
Dave is also working on securing the Friday before each race meeting as a Test day

A meeting is also planned with Dunlop our tyre suppliers / Sponsors to secure a deal for the 2013 season

There will be a riders meeting in our garages at Snetterton, most likely to be held Saturday afternoon while the Endurance race is on, we will confirm this as soon as we know for sure

Once Snetterton is out of the way I will work on finalising the 2013 rules and get them posted along with the 2013 Desmo Due registration forms

...just looked at thread with the various memberships/formks/officaldom. Is there a deadline for gettting these all sorted? With worrying certainty i'm edging closer to making the leap into racing, after being prodded by Hannah & the dastardly Coppersaucepipe!

No Deadline James, you can in theory join in at any point of the season. But obviously any Meeting missed has an effect on Championship positions just ask Banger San who had to miss the first round at Brands Last year and has reorganised his Holiday this coming year so that it doesn't clash with the first round of 2013 on the Snetterton 300 circuit.

Main thing that needs sorting is the ACU licence as this takes time to come through and as a first time applicant you need to get the eyesight test section filled in and a passport type photo
After that DSC, DD and Hottrax are all a few taps of the keyboard away as they can be done on line
