Clutch slave cyclinder.
 

Hello peeps,

I have just got home after a nice ride that was ruined by my clutch slave cylinder saying goodbye to all the clutch fluid.

I must say that trying to get through london traffic with no clutch was an interesting task:o. But I made it in the end thanks to a couple of decent chaps that worked in a Merc dealership. I bought some new fluid and they lent me some spanners and the use of their compressed air fluid bleeder.:D:lol:

I had fluid burning off of the exhaust whilst in the traffic.

So, I already had an uprated slave cylinder but the seals have all gone crap. Anyone got any good suggestions for a new quality one?

I know this topic has been covered before but im tired after getting home and cleaning the bike. So cant be bothered to look!!:(:lol:

I had the same problem- I stripped my cylinder down yesterday & the bore was scored. I bought a new casting & a seal kit from local Ducati $tealers- cost £46 in total. Wrecked the engine casing paintwork as well. I deffo needed a casting, but was gutted that I had to buy the seal kit that comes with a piston- the original piston looked OK. Better safe than sorry though I suppose

Apparently, the newer one fits, but it was £66 & times are hard at the moment!

I have just put the old stock unit back on for now. It works just fine. As the one that decided to puke up everywhere was new and supposed to be far better that stock. I am a little reluctant to get another super dooper one for now.

If anything it feels far lighter than the uprated one used to!!

We shall see how it gets on!!;)
