torque settings where can i find torque settings for all nuts/bolts for a 996R. |
Surely, someone will be along with the workshop manual. If you can't get any joy, I have all the torque settings for the 996RS, although some bolts will be different sizes. |

Ah felix to the rescue, im after Rear Sprocket, Sprocket Carrier Nuts, Front Sprocket. These for now please. |

Rear sprocket: explain
Sprocket carrier nuts (cush drive retaining nuts?): M10x1.25, 44 Nm (grease flange)
Front sprocket: M5x0.8, 8 Nm, Loctite 242
[Edited on 19-3-2005 by Felix] |
sorry Felix rear sprocket nut the, large one. would you have the ones for the nuts that hold the sprocket to the carrier. Thanks. |
Don't know the large nut as it's even larger on the RS. The nuts that hold the sprocket to the carrier are the cush drive retaining nuts, unless you have quick change sprocket carrier, in which case I don't know. Here is a complete list, but beware of the thread size differences to road bike. [Edited on 19-3-2005 by Felix] |
Adam, Hope this helps mate (see attached). Use a light smear of molybdenum disulphide grease on the threads and back face of the nuts. Cheers, Neil |
Do a search under my user name as i have posted the 996r/testa workshop manual online Thought ever one would have it by now ,but its out there somewhere , would look for it myself but i have just worked a 15 hour nightshift :( |
