torque settings

where can i find torque settings for all nuts/bolts for a 996R.

Felix 19-Mar-2005 10:43

Surely, someone will be along with the workshop manual. If you can't get any joy, I have all the torque settings for the 996RS, although some bolts will be different sizes.

sorry Felix rear sprocket nut the, large one. would you have the ones for the nuts that hold the sprocket to the carrier. Thanks.

Felix 19-Mar-2005 13:47

Don't know the large nut as it's even larger on the RS. The nuts that hold the sprocket to the carrier are the cush drive retaining nuts, unless you have quick change sprocket carrier, in which case I don't know.

Here is a complete list, but beware of the thread size differences to road bike.

Adam,

Hope this helps mate (see attached).

Use a light smear of molybdenum disulphide grease on the threads and back face of the nuts.

Cheers, Neil
