Interesting bit of technology Tags on bikes to help prevent theft Hope they have different lean angles programmed in depending on manufacturer: Harley D. - 0 to +/- 10 deg. Ducati - 0 to +/- 60 deg. :D |
Presumably based on a GPS engine of some sort and hence they can not only find you........ they can tell how quickly you got there............mmmmmmm maybe just being cynical? |

With good reason! The system is already in use for fleet-management of cars, etc: http://www.adi-limited.com.au/2-02-180-010-000.html I can't imagine that they'd attempt to market a product and then turn round and slap the customers around the face by passing on sensitive information, so I'd be pretty confident that it'll be safe enough to buy one. The real problem will be the expense. I can't imagine them coming up with a managed service for less than £250 initial and £50/yr. Fine for a new 999r, but not much use for an old warhorse! I've not come across one of those before. Pretty neat. Do you have the 'Light' or 'Compact' version? |
