Oh lordy, lordy!!

Got my 999R on Friday. My god, what a bike!!

Can't say I've ridden it much so far - I've been a bit busy fixing it. Nothing major, just connecting the front indicators, spacing the DP hugger so that it doesn't actually rub on the tyre, and retrieving the toolkit that's supposed to be velcroed to the inside of the fairing (but wasn't). Good job the dealers PDI these things properly innit?

I am in love.:bouncy:

Who let the bike go out with all those faults?
and surely they should be sorting them not you

Sounds a bit lax. THe PDI on my 749s turned up loose nuts on the rear engine mounting and the swing arm pivot. SO loose you could turn them with you fingers, I saw the report card that was going to be sent back to Ducati. The paint mark was on the nuts, they just hadn't done them up first. If your bike has not been PDI'd then I would get it looked over.

As for that toolkit! Well .... I put a set of allen keys in it, which addmittedly added to the weight. It promptly fell off inside the fairing next time I took it out. It was still attached tothe velcro, but the sticky backed velcro had detached from the fairing! There are actually a couple of bosses that the toolkit should hook on. I was thinking of drilling those (careful not to pop through the fairing of course) and put some self-tappers in to hold it in place .. as there is nowhere else I can see to put it. It currently lives in a draw in my garage.
