Was happily ensconced in the "DSC" garage in the Brands paddock shortly after lunch when this guy tugs my elbow and asks if that 998 with the 014's is mine? Yup, sure is. Would I be interested in some part worn (300 miles) 014's cos he don't like em at all!?! Yup, sure would, my rear is confidently (WAY!) past its best, in fact I was gonna get a new set this weekend anyway, how much? £50 squid cash! Borrox, no pennies on me, where are you based! Oh well, Birmingham he says, "never mind" and disappears!
That'll teach me not to go to the autobank on my way out, could easily have got the tyre fitters to do the job in the paddock too, shucks, Are you open tomorrow Steve? :sniff:

Unusually for me, I was flush with cash having done my expenses at work on Thursday. You only needed to ask....

Mind you, I'm a wally too. What's the point of a soft-top car if we don't sit in it with the top off in the spring sunshine? I forgot the roof came off..... (s'OK, Paul will understand).
