immersion coatings check out this web site http://www.hydrographics.org.uk/ i dont know if any one here is famialar with the process-- but basically an item (in this case maybe fairing parts) is dipped and submerged into liquids and then a type of gel coating is applied ---the website explains the process much better than me one of the coatings john does is a very close match to carbon and it does look like the real thing -it is very tough coating tougher than yer average paint i have seen plenty of examples of johns work on competition rifles and is of very good quality--well it impresses me anyway i just thought that it may be a way of getting yer std bits and bobs upgraded to bling bits--no wieght saving i know but for pure cosmetics could be the way to go drop john a line if your interested i'm sure he'll be able to answer any questions and queries you may have http://www.hydrographics.org.uk/example-index3.htm [Edited on 4-4-2005 by monstermob 998] |
