Ride or Not Ride ?? Service is booked at Moto Rapido for next Saturday16th The Oil Warning Light still comes on, on tickover but goes out when the revs increase. Should I ride it to Moto Rapido ?? :puzzled::( |
you got breakdown cover?;) |
Yes I have breakdown cover ( not thought of that bradders.) good Idea. Steve at Moto Rapido says it should be allright to ride as long as the light is out when running above tickover ??:puzzled: |
I wouldn't. Have you tried replacing the oil pressure switch? I would. Does it still do it with a new switch? If so, I certainly wouldn't ride it. |
Can't seem to find one localy. my nearest ducati dealer is now Moto Rapido some how it dosen't seem wright to drive there by car ( must be 30 miles each way ) to buy a switch only to ride the bike back there next Saturday ?? I think I will though..:eureka: |
is the light prssure or lack of? If its lack of, just top it up I would guess, if its pressure what will happen if you ride with it on? |
RR, it will be fine, I rode mine most the way along the Pyrenees with a dodgy switch, got it replaced at the dealers in Clermont Ferrand .... .. and very nice they were too ...... |
Bradders I first noticed it last Sunday after a long fast run it only comes on on tickover, I have toped it up. I run the bike for about 20 mins last night and let it get nice and hot only then did the light come on on tickover as soon as you rev the bike it goes out. :puzzled: Might borrow a van or trailer and take it over that way. Wanted to ride this weekend :(:( |
