999 first 600 miles service Finally the wrench is blinking on my dashboard.. I have been a good boy trying not to rev over 5500 for 600 miles.. What I should expect to be done at the bike (in addition to the obvious) as it is the first time I take the bike in? No problema experienced at today.. And by the way.. how much should I expect to pay?? I bought the bike at Daytona in Ruislip... Thanks guys |
From memory (which isn't very reliable!), my first service cost about £30 |
The first service on my 749S was about £190. |
£30 quid to £190, that is some differance!! |

Was it free, i.e. included in the bike price new and you just paid for oil??????????:o |

Yep.....just filter + oil. Bought the bike from an official ' Ducati store '. |

You usualy have to haggle before you buy the bike for a "free first service" . Bought my bike after agreeing I paid for oil/lube/filter, dealer provided the labour element. its very frustrating that you have to do this, Ducati UK should see it as an essential selling point as every other bike company provides this and allow for it. |
I bought mine from Daytona in Ruislip and from memory it cost me just oil n'stuff. |
i paid £130 what a rip off. i will take my own oil and filter on the next service |
From threads on here £200 to include parts and labour is about right. There is no such thing as a free lunch so I guess if the price at new included the first service its somewhere in the price, at the time I got a deal that was about £500 better than any other quote at new so in the end it was the best deal at the time without a service, one dealer was over a grand more but did include the labour. |
