Clunking sound from front brakes.
 
When the front brake is applied,there is a clunking sound,any idea's please ?

wheel bearings, head bearings, disks moving on the bobbins, pads moving in the calipers, fork bushes....

Is this just pushing it about or rolling slowly? Pads slop about in the callipers and make a racket.

Check your caliper mounting bolts first?
Second could be pad slap?
Third is Steering head bearings?

Oops! 98 916,sorry had a blonde moment(if i had any hair!!!!).It's a clonk normally heard a low speed,calipers seem fine,bearings???????????
Can i stop pad slap !!!!!sounds a bit rude but hey..........:sing:
