First trackday ever........ Had my first trackday on the 749 on sunday, infact it was my first trackday ever! Have to say that I loved it. Never having been to the track I had no idea where to brake or best lines or pretty much anything infact. The day was run in 10minute sessions, it rained for the first session, so it was a case of trying to be sensible. which was fine until I was changing down from 3rd at the end of the straight and had a monent with the back wheel stepping out, after that it was fine although I did chicken out a bit and pretty much stayed in 3rd gear for every corner. Lost my chicken strips and scrapped both boots on the tarmac, which surprised the sh*t out of me the first time it happened - but all in all it was fantastic - and the brakes were brilliant! Thought i'd jump on the positive thread idea for a change.:sing: |

I'm actually quite glad there was no-one from the forum there, now I can add 20mph to every straight and 10 degrees lean angle to every bend.:) |
Me keepy mouth shut , dont want anyone knowing how bad i am either :D I have realised that its only a bit of fun , if some one's faster then there faster, and going home intact is more important ;) |
that's the thing that's put me off trackdays so far, the fact that i'm not that quick.... but want to give it a try, i'm not bothered about being the fastest around - just want to enjoy |
