Every time I ride with my friends they make me ride in the back!!!Apparently im running a little rich!!!!Seems when I give it gas it stinks severly. Not sure if its a related problem but the bike stalls alot!!!!Not sure if an powercommander will cure my problem. Have you done any modifications ? I'd be taking a trip to your local duke dealer/garage for a check up. |
Have you got termi silencer on it or anything like that and if so was it set up to suit |
fuel, No mods as of yet.I get around 80 miles per tank full!!It just stinks terribly.if you hold you hand near the exhaust and blip the throttle you get "fuel on your hand" not alot but... Scott |
I think she might be running a bit 'rich' Should be an easy fix I'd say, if it's under warranty just take it back to your dealer and ask them to sort it out. I wouldn't go spending cash on a PC3 just to sort that out. If you were after more horsepower and maybe fitted an exhaust or something then go for it! |
Is it running badly? ECU light coming on? |
Wot TP said. They all run a bit rich, and my exhaust is pretty smelly, but 80 miles to a tank?!:o I get around 140-150 to a tankful in normal use. OK I think the new model Star Wars style :P tanks may be a little smaller, and running with race cans may drop fuel consumption a bit, but I'm have thought a 748/9 ought to manage around 40 mpg. |
I think the fact he's getting unburnt petrol (liquid) coming out of his pipes is running more than a tad rich  |
the bike has 245 miles on it so has to be an issue with the fuel delivery system. No ecu light is on. Help!!!!! |
I had 170 on my 999R before the rear coil packed up and did a similar thing, fuel pouring out of my termi's but it was running like a dog, on one pot and the ECU on. If there's raw fuel surely it isn't being ignited for whatever reason, I'm guessing the plug will be fouled up by now, could simply be that, could be a coil, could be ECU or anything electrical |
