I went last year to the Superbike Grand National at Castle Coombe, it was held in September last year at the end of the season, it was very good. Probably go again this year especially as its not far from me

Yes it is meant to be a similar event to that held last September, I have a few mates entered but uncertain which big teams have signed up. Lasts years race was held after the final BSB round so there were a few top BSB guys out there. As this one is part way through the BSB season it may not attract the top riders, then again they may view it as a good testing session and teams that have things to try to get them on the pace may well be there. We will have to wait and see.
My mate Simon Knowlson is entered on his Superstock R1 which he normally has to race on RaceTecs in the Metzeler sponsored series was at Castle Combe testing slicks yesterday and trying to find a setup. Sadly he didn't have a soft enough rear spring so he finished his testing early. Hopefully by July 31st he will have the bike dialled in. If anybody is going to Cadwell this weekend to watch the NG races he should be there hopefully using slicks and based on yesterday a softer rear spring of 7.5kg/mm
