U2U not working

for some reaosn, I cannot click on my U2u messages. Its says I have two, but when I click on the bold text, nothing happens.
Same with my online banking page- blank screen with "done" at the bottom left. Browser fault perhaps?

Have you got a toolbar blocking popups? Or another program which does it?

not that I know of. I had a problem with my pC last week, so reloaded windows from the Cd. Only happened since then

Do you get pop-ups from other websites?

lane748 20-May-2005 19:07

no. If I right click on it & clck on open in new window, I just get this page again. Just tried to order a Dell PC as well- clicked on finance link- nothing happens. Right click & selected Open in new window & I get "page cannot be displayed".
I'm seeing Javascript at the bottom left when I hove over the link. Not knowing anything about computers, what is this java?

my anti virus software used to block u2u's
i just turned the level down a bit

Could well be a security setting - what version of the browser are you using? I'm assuming it's Internet Explorer.

Java is a programming language that is commonly used for small applications on websites, amongst other things. There is a specific security setting for java in IE.

If you click on Tools --> Internet Options --> click on the Security tab and select Custom Level down the bottom. This will list a whole bunch of settings, if yo uscroll down you will see Microsoft VM which will have Java permissions underneath it. What have you got in there?

Hrmmm ...

I believe it's an IE setting. But to be perfectly honest I can't remember exactly which one it is :(

I recommend you change your security settings to low, and test it. If it works try increasing it until it won't work and then back it off one.

Otherwise we'll be here all night!
